Matematical algorithms that can be used when creating EAs

Hi all

I'm not quite sure, if this is the correct place for my inquiry, but I haven't found a better one. Please feel free to let me know, if I should move it to another thread

I'm currently trying to build my own EA where I want to use some candlestick patterns together with some mathematical probability calculations. The mathematical formulas that I planned to use are not working as good as I hoped, and I've been trying to find out how I can adjust them, or simply find some new formulas that fits better to my needs. I've tried to find information on this website, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information that I can use. So now I'd like to ask you, if I could expect to find more detailed technical information on the VIP area? Or do you have other suggestions about where I can look for the information? As I said before, I'm primarily looking for some mathematical probability algorithms, or maybe some indicator that do some mathematical calculation. If I have to use an indicator, it has to have some documentation, so I can understand how it works as well as understanding the strength and weakness of it (as well as the risk).
