BFSforex: Uniqlo refused Bengal Industrial Safety Agreement

Bangladesh garment factory tragedy, like the global apparel industry has become an accomplice to kill squeezing labor, European manufacturers have signed a compromise worker Safety protocols. Uniqlo (Uniqlo) Parent Company - Japan's Fast Retailing (Fast Retailing) publicly refused to sign the agreement, said it would strengthen its own security, strengthening its plant safety.

FAST RETAILING Group's corporate social responsibility director Yukihiro Nitta accept the Wall Street Journal interview, for the first time publicly that no present intention to sign the Industrial Safety protocols. The company will employ Japanese industry security Bangladeshi factories, the use of ultrasound, infrared and other instruments, to confirm the factory structural safety.

Nitta pointed out that other contracting industry agreed to propose effective ways to enhance worker safety, the FAST RETAILING Group will consider signing. An Agreement signed by Bangladeshi workers currently more than 30 industry, almost all European manufacturers, including H & M, Benetton, UK Marks & Spencer (Marks & Spencer) and so on. U.S. company Wal-Mart (Wal-Mart), JCPenney, Sears, Gap and so unwilling to sign.

Fast Retailing Group, in order to quickly produce cheap clothing, employee rights being exploited. March this year, the Company's internal audit report noted that there are eight serious violations factory: China factory has under-age girls working in factories card holders sister, another Chinese factories have tampered with hours of work, overtime work to conceal. Fast Retailing, Asia's largest clothing manufacturers, but also the world's fourth largest apparel supplier, ranking second only to Inditex (Zara parent company), Hennes & Mauritz AB, Gap.
